We've Got Our Spotlight On Renee Schneider Fine Arts (& Colorful Kids)

Who are you?

Renee Schneider

What is your business?

Colorful Kids & Renee Schneider Fine Art

Is there a story behind your business?

I have always been an artist. I used to be a public school teacher but I wasn’t good at following the “rules” so 13 years ago, I

decided to start Colorful Kids so I can teach in the creative way that I want to teach. Now I am also dedicating my energy to growing my fine art business.

What problem(s) are you/your business trying to help solve?

With Colorful Kids, I’m getting kids to think and problem solve, more creatively and hopefully raising their self-esteem. With my own artwork, my goal is to evoke emotion in the viewer and transport them to a peaceful and/or interesting place so they may take a look at the world in a different way.

How is your company changing the world?

The world sure needs a new generation of creative thinkers and the world also needs art. I truly believe that Art is healing. With my “Mindfulness Journey Paintings”, my desire is to help create a personal vision for each individual that is intentional, evokes mindfulness and impacts the way they choose to be present.

Why do you like being a part of the bigger CI Works puzzle?

I love the concept of sharing space with other entrepreneurs and creative people.

What do you hope your company’s next milestone will be?

People will get to know what Mindfulness Paintings are and I will be flooded with orders to create personal vision paintings.

What’s cool about your team?

I think I’m pretty cool. I’m the only one and I do it all: marketing, teaching, painting…

Are there any causes you are passionate about?

The environment.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

My two amazing young adult daughters.

What is something most people don’t know about you/your brand?

also love to paint murals and I wrote and illustrated a children’s book.

What advice do you have for other small businesses?

Have Faith, stay positive and believe.
